The CM8870 DTMF Decoder IC offers a complete DTMF receiver solution, integrating both band-split filter and digital decoder functions into a single chip. Its filter section utilizes a switched capacitor technique for high and low group filtering, alongside effective dial tone rejection. The decoder employs digital counting methods to accurately detect and decode all 16 DTMF tone pairs into a 4-bit code.
