The ULN2004 is a versatile high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array designed for robust interfacing. It bridges the gap between low-level logic circuits and various peripheral power loads. Each of its seven drivers can handle continuous load currents up to 500 mA, making it suitable for demanding applications. With an output voltage capability of up to 95V, it can control significant power loads, such as those totaling over 230W. These arrays feature open-collector outputs with integrated clamp diodes for enhanced protection. The ULN2004A/L variants include series input resistors, allowing direct operation with 5V TTL or CMOS logic.
